  12. This is my thrid attempt to post this question--hope it's the charm!
  13. DON'T LAUGH...please.  At home I own an XT-clone (I'm writing this from a
  14. library public access terminal) and I was given an old--so old that they
  15. Motorola tech center no longer has a manual--Motorola Codex 2234 modem.

  17. I would like to try it, but need the dip switch settings, esp. the ones
  18. that achieve null parity.  I may also need a site that still has old, old
  19. DOS modem software suitable for an XT, and a recommndation as to what I
  20. should downlowd (assuming I can find somebody to download for me) so that
  21. I can connect to my freenet via my XT and the Codex 2234.  I know,  I'll
  22. get lots of replies telling me to buy a new computer, but unless they are
  23. accompanied by donations, I'll have to make do with what I've got.
